Holi Powder War {blast from the past}
Last August I was in Utah for a photography workshop reunion and while on a photoshoot, our models decided to just not show up. So, half the group decided to go ahead and stage the Holi Powder War so we could still take photos. It ended up being one of the coolest things ever. All of us were laughing and having so much fun. It was a day I know none of us will ever forget. And truth be told, I'm happy our models DIDN'T show up because it made it even more awesome that our friends are in these photos and not just strangers.
So tonight while going through old photos I realized I never posted them (mainly because I didn't have my blog up yet). So without further adieu....
The picture below makes me miss Utah so much. I fell in love with that state. I'm hoping I can find a reason to go back soon!

Kaia {Newborn}
Introducing: Kaia! This lil angel is the daughter of Crystal & Mike (scroll down a few blogs to see their maternity session on the Santa Monica Pier). She was oh so perfect to photograph.
People often ask me how I have the patience to do newborn photoshoots. Yes, they range from 2-4 hours...I get pooped and peed on several times...my arms get sore from rocking the baby to sleep...and I wait for the perfect time to pose. But in all honesty, they are my favorite photoshoots to do. I adore newborns, and I love nothing more than being able to provide images like this for parents to cherish forever. Because in 20 years, these images will still mean so much. And when I see the look on a parents face when they see the photos, I know my work matters.

Jessie & Jeremy {Maternity}
Meet Jessie & Jeremy: one of my all time favorite couples...ever. They are good friends of mine and I love them to death. So words cannot describe how happy I was to be able to do their maternity session. I took them to one of my favorite locations...and you will see why this is one of my favorite places once you scroll through the photos. I know I posted a lot of photos of this session...but I couldn't help it! I loved so many of them! I just had to share :)
I cannot wait for their lil one to arrive!! So stay tuned for their newborn photos in the next month ;)

Sneak Peaks!
Weddings...maternity...newborns.... so many photoshoots within the last few weeks! Been trying to catch up on blogging! I promise I will post more soon! In the meantime, here are some sneak peaks to show you what I have been up to :)
Kailey {Newborn}
See the picture below of the bride and groom on their wedding day? That was the first wedding I ever photographed back in 2010. The couple (Kristin and Brandon) might not ever realize how much they changed my life the day they decided to hire me to shoot their wedding. See, before meeting with them I had no interest in ever photographing a wedding. People would ask me about it and I would always respond, "Nope! I will NEVER do that!! Too much pressure!" Never say never right?! I agreed to be their photographer and the rest is history. The night after their wedding I knew my life was changed. I had faced my fear and realized that I wanted to photograph more weddings in the future. Me, a wedding photographer?! If you would have told me that a few years ago I would have never believed you. But that's life I suppose. You never know where it's going to take you. So thank you Brandon and Kristin for taking a chance on me. You helped guide me along in my career...without even knowing.
Kristin and Brandon welcomed their first child into the world Easter weekend. So here are some of my favorite photos from Kailey's newborn session. Isn't she so adorable?!
